Our Time Trickles Away

As our time trickles away

_ and our egos get in the way

_ when we are vulnerable _ we think of each other

_ but decide not to message we rather. 

But if we are to reconcile

and feel like we were good for a while 

and not look back in anger and pain

and _ how the other made us insane!

We are tied to time and it's not our friend.  

And on each other we must depend

to reach out and meet and reconnect. 

Once good friends will be our epitaph

But There will be no more laughs 

unless we find a way to swallow our pride  

and with each other confide 

of our thoughts and our dreams, our jokes and memes. 

But if you prefer to just forget 

this ever happened with nothing to regret, 

a blip in life’s story with quirky me, 

by all means do it's up to you. 

Don't say sorry or be afraid 

of the decision that you made. 

And although here I am the fool again, 

speaking up about the way I feel, 

I see no other way to deal

a final dice I have to throw

to see if the one I love has anything to give before I go. 

Or if we will consign each other 

to the darkness of the past 

and our time together just becomes a record 

_of what not to do _ and _ what will not last.
